Connecting your Facebook Page to Goji
Your Facebook Page is usually the busiest doorway into a small business: people discover you there, message you there, and expect an answer there. Connecting the Page to Goji means you stop switching between tabs — new articles publish themselves, and every Messenger conversation lands in the same inbox your team already works from.
What connecting a Facebook Page gives you
- Automatic publishing. When Auto Social picks up a new article from your website, it posts to your Page with the headline, the summary and the article image, and links back to you.
- Messenger in your inbox. Conversations arrive in Goji with the customer's name and picture, and your reply goes back through Messenger — the customer never sees a different tool.
- Instagram for free. If an Instagram professional account is linked to the Page, it connects at the same time and does not use a second channel slot on your plan.
- A shared history. Anyone on your team with inbox access can pick up a conversation, so an answer no longer waits for the one person who has the Page password.
Before you start
Two things decide whether this works first time:
- You must have a Facebook Page, not just a personal profile. A personal profile cannot be connected, and Facebook offers no way around that.
- You must be a Page admin. Editors and moderators can post by hand but cannot grant an application access, so the Page will simply not appear in the list.
If you are not sure, open your Page, go to Page settings → Page access, and check that your name is listed with full control.
How to connect it
- In Goji, open Channels from the sidebar.
- Choose Connect a new channel, then pick Facebook Pages.
- Sign in to Facebook if you are asked to. You are signing in to Facebook itself — Goji never sees your password.
- Facebook shows the Pages you manage. Tick the Page you want, and leave the permissions Facebook lists switched on: each one maps to something on this list, and turning one off removes that feature.
- Approve, and you are returned to Goji with the Page connected.
Connect more than one Page by repeating the same steps — each Page is its own channel and can be switched on or off for publishing independently.
What happens next
The Page appears in your connected channels list straight away. Publishing begins with the next article your rules pick up; nothing already published is posted retroactively, which is deliberate — connecting a channel should never flood a Page with a back catalogue.
To check the connection at any time, open the channel's menu and choose Check connection. Goji asks Facebook whether the access is still valid and whether the Page is still subscribed, and repairs the subscription itself when it can.
If something goes wrong
- The Page is not in the list. You are almost certainly not an admin of it, or you signed in with a different Facebook account than the one that manages the Page.
- Posts stopped after a while. Facebook access can lapse — most often after a password change, or when someone removes your admin role. Run Check connection; if it reports a problem, disconnect and connect again.
- Instagram did not come along. The Instagram account has to be a professional (business or creator) account and it has to be linked to this Page in Facebook first.
Common questions
Can Goji post to my personal profile? No. Facebook does not allow applications to publish to personal timelines. A Page is required.
Will my customers see that a tool posted this? No. Posts appear as your Page, exactly as if you had written them there.
What happens if I disconnect? Publishing stops and Messenger conversations stop arriving. Nothing already posted to Facebook is removed, and your conversation history stays in Goji.
