Connecting your LinkedIn Page to Goji
LinkedIn is where business readers are, and a company Page that posts regularly is one of the few reliable ways to stay visible there. Connecting it to Goji means each new article is published to your Page with its headline, summary and a link.
What connecting LinkedIn gives you
- Automatic Page posts. Each new article is published to your company Page with a link preview.
- A professional audience. LinkedIn readers act on business content in a way that other networks rarely match.
- Consistency without effort. Pages reward regular posting, which is exactly what automation is good at.
- One-click sign-in. You approve access with your LinkedIn account; nothing is copied or pasted.
Before you start
Two requirements decide whether this works, and both come from LinkedIn:
- You need a company Page. LinkedIn does not allow applications to post to personal profiles, and no setting changes that.
- You must be a Page administrator. If you are not, the Page will not appear in the list after you sign in.
Check your role by opening your Page and looking at its admin tools. If you cannot see them, ask an existing admin to add you as a Super admin first.
How to connect it
- Open Channels from the sidebar and choose LinkedIn Pages.
- Sign in to LinkedIn and approve the requested access.
- Choose the Page you want to publish to, if you administer more than one.
- You are returned to Goji with the Page connected.
What a LinkedIn post looks like
Each post carries a short piece of text built from the headline and summary, plus the link. LinkedIn generates its own preview card from your page, using the title, description and image it finds there — which means the preview quality depends on your own site's meta tags rather than on anything sent with the post.
If previews look wrong or show the wrong image, the fix is on your site: check the Open Graph title, description and image for that article. LinkedIn also caches previews for a while, so a correction may take time to appear.
If something goes wrong
- No Pages listed. You are not an administrator of any Page, or you signed in with a different LinkedIn account than the one holding that role.
- Posting stopped. LinkedIn access expires periodically and must be renewed by reconnecting. Run Check connection to see the current state.
- The preview shows the wrong picture. That comes from your site's Open Graph image, not from the post. Fix it there.
Getting a Page post read
LinkedIn shows Page posts to a fraction of followers first and widens that reach only if people engage early, so the opening line does most of the work. A headline that states the concrete point - what changed, what it costs, who it affects - consistently outperforms one that teases the article.
It also helps to be realistic about frequency. A Page posting two or three genuinely useful articles a week builds a steadier audience than one that publishes daily for a fortnight and then goes quiet, because the algorithm treats a dormant Page as a dormant Page regardless of how active it once was.
Common questions
Can it post to my personal profile? No. LinkedIn permits application posting to company Pages only.
Can I connect several Pages? Yes, if you administer them. Connect the channel once per Page.
Will posts show as coming from a tool? They appear as your Page. LinkedIn does not label them differently.
How often should a Page post? Consistency matters more than volume — a few good posts a week beats a burst followed by silence.
